How we met…

John and Nicole first crossed paths in 7th grade at a small, private school called Community Christian School. At the age of 12, they weren't exactly fond of each other. John was known as the class clown, constantly causing disruptions, while Nicole was a teacher's pet who kept her nose in books.

They went their separate ways for high school; Nicole attended West Shore while John headed to Palm Bay High. Whenever the West Shore boys' soccer team faced off against Palm Bay High, they feared playing against one of their players who was incredibly competitive and unpredictable. It was John, still up to his wild antics.

Following high school, they would sometimes cross paths at house parties or local bars, since their circle of friends was connected through the same middle school. However, the timing wasn’t right for them. They both needed time to mature, travel, make mistakes, and find themselves in the world before they could truly connect.

Their time eventually came when they ran into each other a few short years later at the ages of 23 and 24, when both of their hearts were finally open to the right connection. They shared drinks at a bar called Mainstreet Pub and talked for hours, getting to know each other all over again. At the end of the night, John asked Nicole out on a date.

For the next month, they spent almost every day together. They went to the movies and the zoo, cooked dinner together, met each other’s friends, and went out dancing. On St. Patrick’s Day 2013, John asked Nicole to be his girlfriend. And the rest we can’t tell you because it’s NSFW.

They got married 2 years later, on their anniversary in 2015. Their journey has taken them to many places, but that’s a much longer story. Here they are, 10 years, 2 continents, 4 states, and 1 kid later. Here’s to many more years of adventure.
